Shavua Tov @akiva Community,
Outreach to students wherever they are and developing new opportunities for them to continue their lifelong Jewish journey are at the core of @akiva work.
With that in mind, we are so excited to announce that Leah Marek, an icnext program alumna will be joining the @akiva team as our Teen Program Associate. In this position Leah will focus on two areas of our work: mentoring and guiding our Cleveland Shin Shinim in their outreach work across the community, and leading a few of the current and new communal initiatives.
Leah comes to @akiva after graduating last month from the Ohio State University where she studied psychology and public health. During her time at OSU, Leah was a campus engagement intern and co-president at Hillel. Leah also taught in Temple Beth Shalom’s Hebrew school.
Leah will start her work with @akiva in early August.
Please join us in welcoming Leah to our amazing community and wish her Behatzlach.
Amnon, Marlyn, and the @akiva team
