June 13th 2023. After lunch today (which by the way was very delicious shawarma) we got separated into groups for a very fun adventure. The mission for the next hour-ish was to go to the shook in Tel-Aviv, find foods that we didn’t normally have in the US and rate them. We had to try three things, a sweet food, a salty food and any drink. We were put into groups first, mine being Ben, Jaden, Jacob and me. You might be thinking…who is supervising them running around?! Well, we got to meet four out of the six new shin shinim for next year, and two of them were supervising our group! They were super awesome and I think they’re going to have a blast in Cleveland. I’m excited to see them again in a few days.
Okay, now it was time to go off into the shook! It was packed with people, shops all around and so much to look at! It’s good no one got lost from the group haha. First we found these gummy things, something sweet. They were terrible!! They were almost like marshmallows but really chewey. 3/10. Not good. Then as we ran around we had to take 50 photos so we were making sure to do that too. We got some really cool photos, and some silly ones too.
After 20 more minutes of looking we found this orange juice thing that…i forgot the name of….but it was soooo good!! It tasted so strong and I remeber rating it a 8/10. Everyone agreed on both of our ratings so far, but something intresting happened on the next one! We got this really weird meat thing that I cannot even describe. It was strangely good I think I rated it a 7.5/10. However, while Ben agreed with me that it was good, Jaden had said that it was terrible and not good at all. I believe he rated it a 2! So weird. The guy running the store was singing and dancing, it was very fun. After the shook, our group walked to the beach for the next activity, but that’s not my blog job! However I have to say it was really fun and felt like we were really experiencing Israel. Today was great!
