Day 5 (6.15.2023): THE Danny Sanderson concert by Arielle Epstein

On June 15th, 2023 the icnext group went to a Danny Sanderson concert in the evening. First, we met up with a group of kids from Beit Shean who call themselves teen shinim. They are all interested in becoming shin shins and they are my age. Some are even younger than me! For reference, they are the same ages as rising seniors in high school. We all got to the venue and sat down in our seats, but we weren’t sitting for long. When the concert began, it had almost a rock feel and was very hype. We all clustered together in the top rows of the auditorium and we looked very obviously American. He even pointed us out in the middle of the concert and addressed us in english for a moment. I was dancing with everyone bouncing around from person to person. I was having a great time with the teen shinim and singing lryics to songs in a language I didn’t know. The concert was going super well and we were all having a great time dancing. Then we all decided that we wanted to go down to the stage and make our own pit. We all stood in front of the stage and I found myself right infront of Danny. I was right in the middle of everyone jumping and dancing. My legs were killing me but I didn’t care, it didn’t stop me from dancing as hard as i could. You could tell Danny loved us!The stage had a great vibe and the crowd was all laughing with us. I was getting pushed around and it smelled really sweaty which always means a good time. Then, when Danny left the stage we chanted his name and he played three more encore songs! I thought I was going to collapse I was yelling so much. Unfortunately, the concert eventually had to come to an end and everyone filed out of the theatre except for our group. We were given the chance to go backstage and meet the guy! He was really short, probably as tall as me (5’2”) We had a conversation with him which ended up being really funny. Then we took a group picture and said goodbye. Ended up being probably the best night of the trip. Highlight for sure.
