Days 6-7 (6.17-18.2022): Tragedy In Israel By Jordana Turoff

The most terrible thing happened in Israel yesterday. I don’t think I will ever be able to forget the loss that this group has experienced. My nails… have broken. 3 of my 10 nails have tragically lost their lives and it has changed my way of living forever. Firstly, I am now traumatized by ketchup because one nail broke trying to open a ketchup packet. (I also slightly blame Itay for this because he wasn’t able to open the ketchup himself, but I have now forgiven him because he let me sleep in for 3 minutes). I don’t think I will ever be able to look at ketchup the same way again. Secondly, packing my luggage is a war zone that requires the utmost precision and delicacy. Typing this blog on my phone has been such a hard task because now I have ugly stubby fingers and can’t type. Just like an old man. I now understand the struggles and will forever sympathize with the people who can’t type. It is also ridiculously hard to get a lactade out of its package, but that’s just a struggle I’ll have to go through alone. I think everyone should do a small prayer for the safe arrival of my nails to nail heaven. I would also like for everyone to pray that more of my nails don’t join their fallen siblings in the climb to nail heaven. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
