Day 4 (6.15.2022): The Scavenger Extravaganza by Gabe Rubanenko

The scavenger hunt around Tel Aviv was a journey that we will never forget. This program gave us the opportunity to explore the city and learn more about its culture. We divided into teams – each headed by a shinshin – and were given tasks around the city. We competed with each other to get the most done before our time was up. We were also encouraged to ask Israelis from the city to help us with some of the tasks. For example, do a handstand with a stranger or make a body pyramid with the stranger on top. This encouraged us to talk to Israelis using Hebrew and also meet new really cool people. We were all put into random groups so the 3 cohorts were all mixed up. Even though I wasn’t with my best friends, it allowed me to get to know my fellow ICNexters better. Also, this allowed me to see cool sights all over the city that you wouldn’t find in America. It was so interesting to be able to experience Tel Aviv as a local – Onward might be next.
