Pre Mission Blog By Jordana Turoff

Hello everyone I’m Jordana Turoff. Im soooo excited to finally be writing this blog!! I’ve been waiting an unintended 3 years for this moment and I think it’s an understatement to say I’m excited. (I would like everyone to know that I just looked up synonyms for excited on google and one of them was “full of beans” so I’m gonna stick with “excited”). I’m part of icnext Cohort 8 and – 3 years later with only 5 Cohort members left standing – we’re finally going to Israel!!!(hopefully we’re actually on the plane by the time you all are reading this). If I’m being honest I really didn’t think this moment would come. But here we are! After frantically shopping for clothes that would be approved by Amnon, looking up the shekel to dollar exchange rate, and deciding what luggage to pack in we’ve made it to a trip I know we’ll remember forever. I think it’s pretty safe to say that my 5 Cohort members and I have mastered the art of patience and I’m so ready to learn and maybe master even more in Israel. I think we’re all very eager to be in Israel and continue our learning on Israel advocacy and combating antisemitism. While icnext did a great job teaching us online during covid I know our experiences will be even more impactful now that we can share all the incredible moments with 3 amazing Cohorts. I’m so “full of beans” and can’t wait to learn and make memories! Now let’s all pray no one gets covid!!
