Day 1 and 2 (6.16-17.2019): A Great Beginning to a Great Trip by Eli Rosner

During our 3rd hour sitting in Dulles airport we had our second discussion about what motivates us. We had discussion questions about a passage from Letters to my Palestinian Neighbor. We had a quesstion about what message the author has for his Palestinian neighbors, and what we are going to ask ourselves while on the ground in Israel.

Our conversations transpired while we were sitting on the ground of the airport, in a circle, all eating our Chipotle that we had gone on a trip to get. We got some funny looks from people walking by as my group, lead by Zach Mangel and Zach Reizes, went on with our conversation.

After this discussion we walked to other terminals to stretch our legs before our flight.  We got on an airport tram, rode for about 10 minutes, and by mistake got off at the wrong terminal. Then again we walked for about 15 minutes trying to get our steps in ahead of the 11 hour flight. We walked around in stores and stopped into a Wendys and all got frosties (A great treat to eat before a long plane ride). We hopped back onto the train, got back to the gate and played cards.

This few hours was a good bonding time- getting lost in the airport, eating Chipotle, playing cards, meeting in the groups. This was a great way to start off our trip!
